For the past couple of years, I have become heavily involved in the realm of Urban Exploration or Industrial Archeology as some may call it. I began photographing and documenting different abandoned sites all over Ontario. There is something fascinating about the state of decay, the silence and peace that resonates in the space and the existing footsteps and memories of the past that has been forgotten. I find myself drawn to these places, giving them a new life and purpose. With strong influence from Gordon-Matta Clark, Robert Polidori, Richard Avedon, and Greg Girard, my work encompasses a feeling of the uncanny in a familiar yet documentary way.
